Police confiscate goods during operation

The purpose of the operation was to curb possession of illegal firearms and illegal mining and trace wanted suspects.

The Springs police, with the EMPD, conducted an Okae Molao operation in Springs last Thursday morning.

The operation yielded good results and the following successes were achieved:

• Confiscation of 29 water pumps.

• Ten illegal immigrants were arrested.

• Three fines were issued.

• One arrest for possession of drugs.

• Twenty-five traffic fines were issued.

Springs Police Station commander Brig Thembeka Gwebushe applauded the members for their commitment and enthusiasm to reduce crime in the Springs precinct.
