Three armed suspects stormed into Homenet on Wednesday evening just before closing time and stole all the valuables they could find.
Principal Izan Dippenaar says the three suspects came into the 4th Street office earlier that day to ask about rental properties and then left.

“When they came in this afternoon, they split and went in three different directions and forced us all into one room.
“They took laptops, jewellery, cellphones, anything valuable they could get.
“They also asked for the safe keys and forced one of our female employees to get it for them,” says Dippenaar.
Dippenaar noted that the suspects didn’t quite know what they were looking for as they kept coming in and out, looking for various things.
He said the suspects appeared to be between the ages of 30 and 40 and said they were quite jittery during the robbery.
“I suspect they were taking chances as when they came in earlier today they only saw women in the office.
“When they came back and saw the two men, they were nervous and kept drawing their weapons,” says Dippenaar.

The employees managed to text for help, using their work WhatsApp group, and Dippenaar says the police and various CPFs responded very quickly to the incident.
There were no injuries during the robbery and no shots were fired.
Dippenaar says this was the first time something like this had happened at their office, but they had break-ins before.
