Woman unhappy about treatment after fall at Springs Mall
Lill feels the mall should pay for her crown because the accident happened because of their faulty paving.
Heather Lill is unhappy about the treatment she received from the Springs Mall after she fell in October last year.
Lill says she was at Entrance four when her foot caught on some loose paving and she fell.
“I fell so fast I had no chance to break the fall with my hands.
“I went face first into the ground and I couldn’t stop myself,” says Lill.

After her fall, Lill immediately went to a pharmacy inside the mall for treatment and also reported the incident to management on the same day.
She says management informed her they would fix it.
Ten days after her fall, Lill’s crown fell out and she says her dentist says it came loose when she fell face first.
“My Christmas was completely ruined by it and I can’t put any pressure on my tooth,” says Lill.
She says her dentist informed her it would cost R11 500 to fix her crown, which needs to be redone completely.
Lill says her troubles began when she tried to meet with centre management to discuss the incident and compensation for her fall.

“I was given the run around even though the mall’s insurance told me because my claim was less than R25 000, it was a centre management problem.
“They have done nothing to help me,” says Lill.
Lill feels the mall should pay for her crown because the accident happened because of their faulty paving.
The mall declined to comment on Lill’s allegations saying they do not comment on legal matters.
