Equipment stolen along with bakkie on Coaton Road

The suspects demanded the victim get out of his car, get into their car and hand over his bank card and PIN.

A stop to get a drink proved very costly for a man after he was hijacked after leaving a bar in Selection Park.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the man stopped to get a drink at a bar before going home last Wednesday evening.

As he was heading home, the victim was stopped by suspects driving a yellow car.

The suspects demanded the victim get out of his car, get into their car and hand over his bank card and PIN.

The victim was threatened with a knife before the suspects dropped him off at KwaThema Hostel half-naked.

The victim was assisted by a passer-by who took him to the Springs Police Station.

Apart from the car, the suspects also took the victim’s cellphone, toolbox and copper cables.
