Almost time for the first Springs Advertiser car boot sale
Be part of a day aims to bring the community together for a fun, hopefully cheap, day of shopping and socialising.

Time is running out to be part of The Springs Advertiser’s first car boot sale to be held at Stable Inn on March 28.
The day aims to bring the community together for a fun, hopefully cheap, day of shopping and socialising.
All vendors selling previously loved goods are invited to take a stand and sell anything they no longer want or need.

• Gates open at 7.30am.
• You must be set up by 8.30am and ready to do business when the gates open to the public.
• Cars may not be moved before 2.30pm.
• You need to provide your own table and gazebo.
• Only second-hand goods may be sold.
• No firearms, alcohol or illegal substances will be allowed on the premises.
• Stands will be allocated at the gate.
• There is no electricity available on site.
• Traders are responsible for their own cash and sales.
Tips for a successful day
• Pack your car in reverse order to the order in which you want to display your goods.
For instance, pack your table last so that it is the first thing you unpack.
• If you have valuable items to sell, keep these near you where you can ensure they are not stolen.
• Keep your money hidden. Money belts or lockable money tins work well, but keep them near you at all times.
• Make sure your table is large enough to hold all your goods.
• Bring lots of change so you don’t lose sales owing to a lack of change.
• Keep your prices low so everything goes.
• Use price labels to make your prices easily seen.
• Catch their eye with an attractive display.
• Get there early to enable you to make your display attractive.
• Have fun and smile.
