Pollak Park residents concerned about tall grass

The grass in Pollak Park Extension Three has not been cut in some time and residents have become frustrated.

The grass has reached tremendous heights and has grown taller than the boundary fences of some of the properties.

Residents fear that the grass may hide potential criminals and thieves or even snakes lurking about underneath.

Ward councillor Thulani Simelane says he has received complaints since February and says the grass has not been cut since the new year.

In addition, the trees in this area have not been pruned and obscure streetlights, making it dangerous to walk at night.

The metro has failed to provide comment in time of publication.
