A man got a lucky break when suspects failed to start up a truck they had taken from him on the N12.
Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was busy fastening his truckload, which was about to fall off, at the Total garage on the N12 Delmas, when he was confronted by two suspects, one of whom was armed with a gun.

The suspects dragged the victim to the nearby bush, searched him and took his cellphone, bank card and his shoes.
They tried to start the truck but couldn’t get it started, and after the victim informed the suspects the truck had a tracker, the suspects ordered him to drive away.
No arrests have been made and no shots were fired during the incident.
