Kathy and Henry Preston are taking care of the ducks at the duck pond

The ducks in the George Sutter duck pond in Selection Park have been of community interest for the past couple of years with people often wondering who is feeding the ducks.

Although the number of ducks at the pond varies from year to year, they are always cared for by Kathy and Henry Preston and Hennie Brits.

Kathy told the Addie last week that she can assure all Springs residents that the ducks at the duck pond are still being looked after, despite the lockdown.

Kathy and her husband, Henry, visit their beloved ducks every morning at 11.30am to feed them.

The lockdown has many residents concerned about the animals in the community, but they can be rest assured that the ducks are well taken care of.
