Ekurhuleni divided into sub-districts for Covid-19 purposes

The first data for these smaller districts has been released.

The three districts in the City of Ekurhuleni had been sub-divided into smaller sub-districts for the purpose of reporting on Covid-19 cases.

Ekurhuleni North, South and East had each been divided into two sub-districts.

The first data for these sub-districts, as on April 29, was:

  • Ekurhuleni North 1 (Kempton Park, Crystal Park, Ethafeni, Olifantsfontein, Tembisa, Winnie Mandela): 37 cases
  • Ekurhuleni North 2 (Bedfordview, Boksburg, Chief Albert Luthuli, Dan Kubheka, Edenvale, Endayeni, Esangweni, Itireleng, Kemston, Lethabong, Ramaphosa, Reiger Park, Van Dyk Park): 92 cases
  • Ekurhuleni East 1 (Etwatwa, Daveyton, Brakpan, Tsakani): 33 cases
  • Ekurhuleni East 2 (Springs, Kwa-Thema, Duduza, Nigel): 29 cases
  • Ekurhuleni South 1 (Alberton, Brackenhurst, Eden Park, Primrose, Germiston, Leondale, Dawn Park, Tswelopele, Vosloorus, Villa Liza): 77 cases
  • Ekurhuleni South 2 (Thokoza, Greenfields, Kathlehong, Moleleki, Zonkizizwe, Palm Ridge, Moleleki, Tsietsi Sunrise View, Tamaho, Khumalo, Motsamai): 10 cases
