Everest church goes up in flames
Two bottles of petrol were found on the scene and were taken away to be examined for fingerprints.
A Zion Christian Church burnt to the ground last Friday afternoon at the Everest informal settlement.
This is according to Springs Police spokesperson Captain Johannes Ramphora.
The complainant, who lives in the church, says he went to a nearby house and while there, heard people screaming.
Upon investigation, he found the church in flames.

Together with the community, the complainant tried to extinguish the flames but failed to do so.
The Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) eventually put out the fire.
