Man shot in leg during business robbery

One of robbers stood by the door and kept watch, while the other two went to the cashier and emptied the till of R4 000.

A customer was shot during a robbery at a shop in Geduld last Wednesday evening.
The shop owner told police he was walking out of the shop when three men, armed with guns, approached him and forced him back into the shop which was occupied by three employees and two customers.

All the employees and customers were made to lie on the floor.
One of robbers stood by the door and kept watch, while the other two emptied the till of R4 000. Cigarettes valued at R15 000 were also taken.
As the robbers were leaving, one them fired a shot towards the shop. One of the customers was hit in the lower leg.

They made their getaway in a white Toyota Corolla, driven by a fourth accomplice, and headed towards the Paul Kruger highway.
A case of business robbery and attempted murder was opened at the Springs Police Station.
