Ford Petrol Heads collecting school supplies

Chance Children’s Home houses more than 50 children between the ages of three to 18.

Ford Petrol Heads are collecting school supplies for the children at Chance Children’s Home.
The organisation comprises of 64 members who all drive Ford Fiestas or Ford Figos.
“We initially started doing breakfast runs as a club, having fun, but then we thought we could do better and give back to our community.

Ford Petrol Heads partnered with the Help A Girl Foundation and donated sanitary pads to an organisation in Soweto.

“The handover we’re hoping to do at Chance Children’s Home will be our third event.
“We donated supplies to the Lebohang Katleho Centre for Disabled Children in Katlehong in September last year, and followed that up with a donation of sanitary pads in Soweto in October,” said spokesperson Penn Sithole.

The local organisation is looking to collect school shoes, stationery and backpacks for children who attend crèche.
The home houses more than 50 children between the ages of three to 18.
They will be collecting supplies until February 20 and will hand over the items to the home on February 27.
