Burglars flee empty-handed

An Eastvale resident interrupted two burglars in his home during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
He believes the pair gained entrance to his home through a door on the first floor.
According to Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesperson, the resident found the intruders in the living room taking the TV.

One of the men was armed with a sharp object.
The pair managed to escape – one through the garage and the other through the living room door.
The TV was abandoned in the front yard. No injuries were reported.
