Derlsey water shortages to end soon

The contractor has committed to complete the project within the next few months.

The building of the water reservoir in Eastvale, which aims to relieve water shortages in Eastvale and parts of Dersley, has made good progress.
Construction on the reservoir began in March last year, but a breach of contract and the lockdown put a halt to the project numerous times.

“The first contractor did not complete construction and a new contractor was appointed recently,” said ward councillor Ramesh Sheodin.
“Hopefully, very soon the water issues experienced by the residents of Eastvale and Dersley will come to an end.
“The contractor has committed to complete the project within the next few months.”
Project manager Thabiso Mashego confirmed the project is in its final stages.
