Man strangled, woman raped in Slovo Park
The couple also had their cellphones stolen.
A couple was attacked by two men along Lagos Street in Slovo Park on Thursday evening.
The woman was raped by one of the men.
The pair confronted the victims while they were sitting in a car.
They strangled the man through the driver’s window, which was not fully closed.
The attackers then ordered the couple to move to the back seat of the car.

They drove off with the couple to an open veld in Jacobs Farm, where they started making demands.
The boyfriend was tied up with shoelaces and was ordered to call a relative to bring money.
Once the relative agreed to give the men money, they left the couple to collect the cash, a vast sum of R45 000.
The boyfriend untied himself and went to seek help.
In addition to the money, the men also took the couple’s cellphones.
