Rivoni took to the streets of Duduza on Tuesday morning to do data collection of their beneficiaries for the fun walk and drive, which will take place on Worker’s Day at the corner of Mandela Drive and John Dube Street, near Zamani ground.
Mongezi Nkosi, the founder of Rivoni, said they are aiming at helping more residents in informal settlements, as that’s where many people are struggling.
This donation will be their third project since the beginning of this year.
“We are looking forward to doing more as our NPO grows. It feels great to partner with other organisations and churches to help our communities.
“We will also be having a fun walk and donation on May 29 in Devon,” said Nkosi.
Nkosi said they chose walking as the activity on the day to inform residents about the foundations that are part of this initiative.

“It takes one thing to make a difference in someone’s life,” he said.
The partners will be giving back to boys and girls aged 12 to 17; however, an exception will be made to donate to those beyond that age group, depending on their living conditions.
“Everyone is welcome to our fun walk and run, and people are welcome to donate and join our organisation.
“There’s a lot we can achieve and change when we are united,” Nkosi concluded.
