AfriForum Springs brings a little warmth to the homeless

The members handed out 25 blankets, an initiative of their own, to people on the streets to protect them against the piercing cold.

After completing visibility and crime-prevention patrols, AfriForum Springs spent last Saturday handing out blankets to the homeless people of Springs.

The members handed out 25 blankets, an initiative of their own, to people on the streets to protect them against the cold.

“Not only do these individuals protect their communities, but they also open their hearts in times of need.

“This is evidence that every aspect will be focused on when you become involved with an organised structure such as AfriForum,” says Dewet Ungerer, AfriForum’s district coordinator for the East Rand.

AfriForum’s Springs branch will continue to serve the community in any way they possibly can with patrols and charity work.

Become involved with the local AfriForum branch by sending an email to springs@afriforumtak.co.za.
