Illegal connections in Oranjehof have left many residents frustrated.
A resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he has gone to the council offices numerous times to report the problem.

“I have phoned the metro but couldn’t get anywhere. I even went to their offices where I was taken from pillar to post and still received no answers.
“We pay for electricity every month only for people to connect illegally and steal our electricity,” he said.
