A book to help make work better for you
“It was always my desire to write this book. “
Dr Roney Ndala believes he has written a book every employer and employee should have.
“It was always my desire to write this book.
“The perfect opportunity came when we experienced the first hard lockdown.
“I finally had time to focus and give it my best effort,” explained Ndala.
Transforming Your Workplace Through Sound Leadership was written and published in 2020.
Having worked for multiple big corporations, the Springs resident believes he has gained many experiences that can help others be better as they grow their careers and businesses.

Ndala also serves on the Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“I want you to learn, not just from my successes but also my mistakes,” he said.
The business consultant and coach said communication is the single most important ingredient to create a good working environment.
“Whether you are a junior or a senior in your department, let your team members know how you feel about what you are expected to do.
“Ask questions where you do not understand a given task.
“A great responsibility lies on managers to clearly state what is expected from the ones they give tasks to,” he added.

He also believes managers would get better efforts from their subordinates if they appreciated them more.
“People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
“No matter how much technology we have, we still need people for our businesses to succeed.
“Therefore, we must ensure they know how much we appreciate their contribution.
“A simple compliment can go a long way,” he said.
Ndala also discourages workaholism.
“You need to find a good balance between your work and home life.
“Put the same effort into making both successful,” he said.
