Ward 72
Ward 72 has many problems, ranging from stormwater drainage systems that are clogged with sand pollution from mine dumps, sewage spillages believed to be caused by blasting at the mines as well as ant infestation of houses. The swimming pools are also rendered unusable by the sand pollution.
Our ward deserves a councillor who will speak out against this pollution and degradation of infrastructure caused by mining.

Inconsistent refuse removal days confuse and opens refuse bins to theft as they are left outside the whole day.
Ward 72 has some of the big companies in South Africa operating from the ward.
However, no economic benefits are flowing from these companies for the residents of the ward.
Ward councillor candidates were invited to submit photographs and write-ups. Some candidates had not submitted information as requested.
