Hijacked truck recovered in Springs

The police acted on the tip-off and proceeded to the address.

Two people were nabbed for possession of a suspected hijacked truck trailer on Wednesday afternoon.
The SAPS Highway Patrol and Crime intelligence units received information of a hijacked truck at a warehouse along Butler Road in Nuffield.

“On arrival, the police recovered a trailer with boxes already offloaded. A 28-year-old and a 44-year-old were on the premises,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of the Springs SAPS.
The truck was hijacked near Germiston after its driver was drugged.
He was driving from Durban to Johannesburg. The arrested duo will appear in the Springs Magistrate’s Court soon.

The truck was recovered at a warehouse in Nuffield.
