JP Kruger makes a comeback
“I will do my best to win. I have great coaches who have been so helpful when it comes to my preparations and I am hoping God will give me strength to come back with a victory.”
MMA fighter JP Kruger from Springs is getting ready for his comeback.
“I chose to become a MMA fighter because it is the fastest-growing sport in the world. I believe MMA is a test of yourself. Being a MMA fighter, you need to eat healthily and be mentally strong,” said Kruger.
He emphasises that it is not an emotional sport but a decision you make to be an athlete.
“I have never been angry at my opponent, but it is scary whenever you climb in the ring. The greatest thing any man can do for his spirit is to fight, not as an athlete but as a human. It does become nerve-wracking but it is a wonderful game.”

It took Kruger six years to step back in the ring after he was sidelined due to a car accident.
“The crash put the future of my career in great jeopardy. I underwent operations and the doctors were really helpful. I was glad I was able to go back to the gym and start fighting again. I will now be fighting my opponent in March,” he said.
Kruger is expecting to have fun in his upcoming fight and bag a win. The fight will take place at the EFC Institute in Sandton.
“I will do my best to win. I have great coaches who have been so helpful when it comes to my preparations and I am hoping God will give me strength to come back with a victory,” said Kruger.
