Pair nabbed for possession of drugs

Highway patrol police officers acting on a tip-off by a concerned community member arrested two men for possession of drugs.
The officers were patrolling around Springs CBD last Wednesday when a resident informed them about an address from which drugs are sold.
“On arrival, the police found two men next to a shop on Fourth Street and requested to search them. The officers found small plastic bags on the men, which they suspected contained drugs,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of Springs SAPS.

The police intensified their investigation and went with the pair to their residential address in Seventh Street.
More items, suspected to be used by the men to manufacture drugs, were found.
“All items were seized and both were charged with possession of drugs,” added Ramphora.
The station commander of Springs SAPS, Brig Thembeka Gwebushe, applauded the members for their swift response in apprehending the duo.
