School celebrates International Mother Language Day

The library committee at Springs Secondary School was in a celebratory mood with learners of the school when they celebrated International Mother Language Day on February 21.

Members of the committee said the day is aimed at promoting awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism.
“Springs Secondary also joined in the celebration and learners were required to research a proverb in their own language. It was a wonderful way to develop culture and promote it across the world,” said the committee.
