Family celebrate patriarch’s 90th birthday

“This was a joyous day for the entire family to be able to celebrate his birthday as it’s rare for elderly to reach this age. The family wishes him more healthy years ahead.”

Bishop Philemon Sibiya celebrated his birthday in style and in the company of family and friends at the Stable Inn in Springs on March 19.
The nonagenarian is described as an inspiration who has provided encouragement and guidance to his children and grandchildren throughout their lives.

Thabang Sibiya said it was no surprise his grandfather reached this milestone because of the love he has for his family and the contribution he made to their upbringing.
“He is the most selfless person who always thinks of helping others. He is calm and lives by the word of God. You can talk to him about everything and he always gives the best advice,” said Thabang.

“It was a joyous day for the entire family to be able to celebrate his birthday as it’s rare for the elderly to reach this age. The family wishes him more healthy years ahead,” said Thabang.
