Cash and cellphones stolen during robbery at Selcourt store

The robbers instructed two employees and the customers to go to the backroom.

Five armed men robbed a clothing store in Selcourt on Monday morning.
The victims told police five men walked into the store carrying guns.

“The robbers instructed two employees and the customers to go to the backroom. One of the cashiers was instructed to open the till and the thugs took the cash inside,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of Springs SAPS.
The robbers made off with 44 cellphones valued at R32 272. The total amount of cash taken was R10 464.66.
