Runner (65) is not slowing down
“I was second in the 100m, 400m and 800m races,” said the Geduld resident.
Hendrik Booysen (65) came home with three silver medals from the Gauteng North Masters Track and Field Championships that took place on Saturday.
“I was second in the 100m, 400m and 800m races,” said the Geduld resident.
The event was held at Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria.

“I prepared for this competition for a year. I do cross-country during the winter to build stamina. After winter, I do speed training at Hoërskool Hugenote.
“I also put some work into tempo, hill training and sprint drills,” said the athlete.

Booysen has been running since he was six years old.
“I plan to run in the Central Gauteng championship in two weeks’ time and look forward to the provincial champs in May,” he added.
He is a member of the Nedbank Running Club.
“It is difficult to get sponsors or donations. If there are people or companies that can help me financially with a small amount, I would appreciate it,” he said.
