Surgical ward praised for excellent service
Staff awarded for rendering excellent services to the public.
Following the official launch of the We Care, We Smile campaign on March 3, serving with dedication and passion seems to be the order of the day at Far East Rand Hospital.

This is evident in several compliments the hospital has received from members of the public who received medical care from the institution.
Led by CEO Sonwabo Lindani, members of the hospital executive and the Employee Value Proposition team visited a male surgical ward on April 21 to applaud the excellent service that the ward has been rendering to the public.

In the past weeks, the ward has been showered with compliments of excellence in service delivery.
Speaking on behalf of hospital management, Lindani acknowledged that there are challenges such as staff and equipment shortages that hospital management is dealing with.
“We understand that sometimes you work under pressure of being short-staffed, but you never drop the ball when it comes to taking care of those who need us the most,” said Lindani.
He added that the team effort of everyone working in the ward is recognised and appreciated. He also commended ward staff for their resilience and dedication.
Staff were gifted with Easter eggs, a certificate, and a book titled Devoted Citizens as a token of appreciation.

“We aim to applaud the staff for the wonderful work that they do. Hospital management believes that happy employees result in a happy patient,” he said.
This gesture was appreciated by the staff members.
Although it was a moment of jubilation, staff in the ward took a moment to honour one of their own who died earlier that week.
“I am urging all staff to love and care for one another as we are a family and urged all present to keep on taking precautionary measures against Covid-19,” said Lindani.
