The Springs SPCA held their AGM to discuss the previous financial year on July 20.
Chairperson Alta Gobey delivered a report on the past year.
“In a mere two years from having no manager, no inspector and no field officers we are now proudly boasting a manager who is also our inspector, a cadet inspector and two fabulous field officers,” she said.
She claimed that although Covid-19 crippled many families, the community still provide the support they needed.
“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the companies and individuals for their continued support throughout the financial year,” she stated.
In the last financial year, the Springs SPCA held a few fun days to raise funds. They started with the Born Fierce CrossFit challenge, a yoga day, Fiercest in the Ghetto competition, a pilates event and then their doggy fun runs which commenced in March.

She thanked the staff members for their hard work.
“We cannot keep this ship afloat without the incredible staff that run the day-to-day operations of our society,” she said.
“I look forward to another year as chair of this amazing society and the journey that lays ahead. With the remarkable team and a committee that I am proud of, I do not doubt that the following financial year will bring us many blessings and much success.”
