Man gunned down at Springs petrol station
A man was gunned down at a local petrol station on Sunday.
A case of murder was opened at the Springs Police Station after a man was shot multiple times and killed at a filling station on the corner of Plantation and South Main Reef roads on Sunday.
According to Springs SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, when the police arrived at the scene they found a grey Toyota with bullet holes on the right side of the windscreen and front door window.
“Inside was a deceased male with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body,” said Tshabalala.

He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics. Tshabalala added that 15 empty 9-mm cartridges were recovered on the scene.
The motive of the shooting is unknown, and no arrests have been made.
The Springs police are appealing to anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
