Murder case and inquest docket opened after bodies of SAPS officer and girlfriend found
The officer sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his neck and his girlfriend a gunshot wound to the right side of her neck.
Kwa-Thema – The bodies of a man and a woman with gunshot wounds were found in a car on the corner of Augusta Crescent and Gleneagles Place in Pollak Park on Sunday morning.
The Springs police identified the deceased as Springs SAPS Constable Kwanele Dunga and his girlfriend, Nompumelelo Hlatswayo.
The couple, both 29, was last seen leaving a tavern in Duduza on Saturday night. It is suspected Dunga shot Hlatswayo and then turned the gun on himself.
The car in which they were found belonged to Dunga. It was parked on the side of the road, still idling and with damage to the back left and front right windows.
