Street shower restores dignity to those in need

Homeless people blessed at street shower in Strubenvale.

It was a good and joyous day as Life Redeem hosted its street shower on Saturday at AGS Lofoord in Strubenvale.

With various stalls set up to help both adults and children, the event’s goal was to support homeless people through acts of service in hygiene and healthcare.

The inspiration behind the street shower comes from the Bible verse Luke 14:16–24.

It serves as a banquet that the NPO prepares for beneficiaries to show the love of God and to help restore their dignity with love in their lives.

Among the stalls were showers, a medical bay, a hairdresser, and a ministry tent.

People enjoyed each other’s company and saw some familiar faces in the community while receiving brand-new clothing and a nutritious supper.

There were 197 volunteers at different stations, serving 127 people.
