Epilepsy SA opens its doors for Mandela Day
Epilepsy SA seeks to embrace the Mandela Day spirit.

After going through the turmoil of halted subsidies in May, Epilepsy SA has set its sights to continue raising awareness in the community.
Epilepsy Geduld director Aileen Langley said she was delighted the Gauteng Department of Social Development (DSD) changed its decision to continue to fund their facility.
“Our facility is a haven for our patients, and one thing that we are looking forward to is working hard and giving them the treatment they deserve,” said Langley.
Langley and the facility management are opening their doors to the public to spend 67 Minutes for Mandela Day.
“Although we had a few changes within the organisation, it has been a learning curve for us, which has allowed us to allow change.”
Lindiwe Dube, PRO of Epilepsy Geduld, added the aim is to dedicate 67 minutes to doing something good.
“People are welcome to volunteer or spend the day with us, as we will have a variety of activities on the day,” said Dube.
“We also must emphasise that even if they cannot come on Mandela Day, our doors are open throughout July.”
