Huhtamaki secures 6-0 win over Ace Auto in Springs Corporate League
Huhtamaki put six goals past Ace Auto in a dominant Springs Corporate League performance at the Springs Old Boys Sport Ground.
The Springs Corporate League hosted action-packed games at the Springs Old Boys Sport Ground on August 28.
Ace Auto Spares went head to head with Huhtamaki in a heated match that ended in a 6-0 victory for Huhtamaki.
Huhtamaki currently sit at position seven with 25 points while Ace Auto occupies the sixth position with 28 points.
The first half ended goalless for Ace Auto with Huhtamaki leading with three goals. In the second half, Huhtamaki carried on its momentum doubling its score.
Coach Mpumelelo Mahlangu expressed his pride in the team’s effort.
“The boys were spot on from the first few minutes to the end. They were eager to win the game and it showed,” he said.
He also highlighted that its the team’s first season in the corporate league.
“We used to play friendlies and what we always do is to build from the previous games’ momentum and just keep it going,” Mahlangu said.

Ace Auto coach Thabo Mabi expressed his disappointment with the results.
“They were too comfortable. We’ve been winning games consistently so they were relaxed which is what led to our loss,” he said.
Mabi said they will work on being more organised in upcoming games.
“They were playing individual football instead of playing as a unit. It’s a part of football, we will go back to the drawing board and come back better,” he said.
