Selcourt Primary School contributes generously

The donations made by Selcourt Primary School were in honor of 67 Minutes for Nelson Mandela.

In celebration of Nelson Mandela’s birthday on July 18 and his legacy of charitable works, Selcourt Primary School collected a large amount of cat and dog food to donate to the SPCA and Kattitude.

This initiative was widely supported by the school community and showed the caring commitment of the learners to all living beings.

“Mandela Day is not only lip service at Selcourt Primary School but a way of showing civic responsibility,” said Tracy Ashton, school administrator.

“By supporting the lives of animals, we relieve the burden of organisations such as the SPCA and Kattitude and help creatures great and small, if only in a small way,” said Tracy.
