Super Tournament League ends the season

The Eastern Springs Local Football Association (LFA) held its Super Tournament League on Saturday.

The highly anticipated sporting event, which ends the season, took place at Welgedacht Stadium.

There were 14 teams with four divisions, U11, U13, U15 and U17.

Community members who are passionate about supporting their favourite teams were at the tournament.

Coach Ramothaki Maqabe of the LFA said the event was successful.

“The league was a success because we played to finish.”

He highlighted some of the challenges they faced during the season.

“We had minor problems with match officials, and three teams withdrew from the league in the middle of the programme.”

He concluded by saying they were happy overall that the league had ended.

Awards went to the top three in each respective division.
