Far East’s staff triumph at Soweto Marathon
Several employees of the Far East Rand Hospital participated in the 2023 Soweto Marathon on November 5.
Far East Rand Hospital staff conquered the challenging 2023 Soweto Marathon, showcasing determination, resilience and teamwork.
Representing the institution in the 10km, 21km and 42km, the athletes brought home bronze medals.
The event on November 5 set the scene for the successful completion of the marathon by 10 hospital staff members from various departments.
Hospital athlete Unathi Madolo said their participation in the race was not only to win but to ensure their physical wellness.
“Our participation in most races is also to encourage other institutions to ensure their wellness,” he added.
The athletes are now preparing for the Lesedi Half Marathon scheduled for December 16.
