Zig Zag donate school uniforms

The initiative which started in 2020, gives out 1 000 school uniforms a year.

Zig Zag, a local entertainment business, has given back to its community.

The company’s school uniform drive started in 2020 when they noticed a need in communities around Ekurhuleni.

“We provide 1 000 children with school uniforms around Ekurhuleni and parts of Mpumalanga every year,” says the organisation’s representative, Sibusiso Mkhwanazi.

Mkhwanazi says they focus on child-headed families and children living with the elderly without means to buy school uniforms.

“Each school we donate to receives a minimum of 20 full school uniforms but some get more, depending on the needs of the school.”

He encourages the community to join them in making a difference to Springs.

“Residents can donate by all means possible so that children can continue to learn without feeling different or lacking.”
