Local golfers gather for Gingers

Golf lovers gathered for the Gingers Golf Day at the Pollak Park Golf Club on March 23.

The Gingers Golf Day players had another great day following rain at Pollak Park Golf Club on March 23.

A large group of the Gingers golfers relished the first cool morning of golf on the course while exploring the greens.

“It was great playing on lush, green fairways again after they dried out over the heatwave we have been experiencing,” said Harvey Scott, a local golfer.

Dylan Pinkerton took the honours with 37 points. He was followed by Alan Naude with 36 points and Kobus Alberts with 35 points oco.

The other results were as follows:

  • Milk Tart doubles: Rob Bryans and Neil Charlton with 42 points.
  • King of the shorts: Mel Browning with 11 points.
  • Longest drive on the 10th: Neil Charlton.
  • The closest to the pin on the 6th: Bruce Gardner.
  • Milk Tart lucky draw: Kyle Robertson.
