Weather delays waste collection services

The CoE is experiencing delays in waste removal round collections due to the wet and slippery conditions, causing traffic congestion for waste removal trucks accessing landfill sites.

The Platkop landfill site near Katlehong and the Simmer and Jack landfill site in Germiston are operational.

These sites have taken precautionary measures to ensure safe working conditions on-site to fast-track service delivery.

Meanwhile, the Rietfontein landfill site in KwaThema and the Rooikraal site in Dawn Park near Boksburg should re-open by the end of April.
