Bhairavi Sungum celebrates Tamil New Year
Live music and dance kept attendees entertained during the event followed by a traditional supper.
The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs celebrated its 31st Tamil New Year with a cultural concert of songs, dance, and music of its heritage.
A celebration was held on Saturday to celebrate the auspicious occasion, which is celebrated on April 14.
Chairperson of Bhairavi Sungum, Poovershree Pillay, thanked attendees, citing that she was proud to be a part of the historic event initiated by the Sungum.
“Thirty-one years later, we are indebted to our predecessors for this concept, and it’s heartwarming to witness this cultural celebration now throughout the province,” said Pillay.
