SPL Cricket T20 tournament kicks off

The Springs Old Boys (SOB) SPL Cricket T20 tournament kicked off its new season by hosting two matches this past weekend.

Two matches were held at Springs Old Boys (SOB) this past weekend to mark the start of the SOB SPL Cricket T20 tournament.

Bakerton Warriors took on Roshnee Stars in the opening game, while Welkom Cricket Club played Bangla Tigers in the second.

After winning the toss, Roshnee Stars defeated Bakerton Warriors by nine wickets and scored 68/1 in 5.1 overs.

Sajid Jogiyat was the Roshnee Stars’ best batter, with 33 runs. The best bowler was Azam Badsaha, with four overs for 16 runs and four wickets.

The best batters for Bakerton Warriors were Adil Dabhoya, with 22 runs off 16 balls, and Faizal Patel, with 21 runs off 20 balls, followed by the best bowler, Mohsin Darvesh, with one over and nine runs.

In the second game, Welkom Cricket Club beat Bangla Tiger by eight wickets to score 112/2 in 12.3 overs.

Tosif Malik was Welkom CC’s best batter, with 71 runs off 48 balls.

The best bowlers were Zisaab Khan, with three overs, nine runs, and two wickets, and Iqbal Ughratdar, with three overs, 15 runs, and three wickets.

The best Bangla Tiger batters were Said Mahmmad, with 41 runs off 38 balls, and Robiulo Iqbal, with 23 runs off 23 balls.

The best bowler was Robiulo, with two overs, 16 runs, and one wicket.
