Springs Town Bowling Club wraps up successful Spring Fever Trips
Ekurhuleni bowlers filled two greens at the Springs Town Bowling Club’s final week of Spring Fever Trips competition.
The Springs Town Bowling Club held its last week of Spring Fever Trips on Wednesday, sealing the competition with a prize-giving ceremony.
The Spring Fever Trip attracted bowlers from Ekurhuleni battling it out for the top three positions. Tokkie Hattingh from the club said the five weeks were a success, highlighting that she was overwhelmed by the attendance from the bowlers.
“Overall, I’m happy with the support that the club receives yearly with this competition. As it stands, bowlers are already enquiring about next year’s Spring Fever Trips,” said Hattingh.
“I’m really grateful to all the bowlers for making this event a huge success.”
The results were as follows:
- First place: Willem Viljoen, Alan Coetzer and Dawie Pieterse from Modderbee Bowling Club.
- Second place: Ross Brooklyn, Estelle King, Rudolph Pretorius from Benoni Lake Bowling Club.
- Third place: Dan du Preez, Paula Birbeck and Brenda Cock from Springs Town Bowling Club who took third place.
