New rugby club flourishes

The coaches at Bobbies Youth Rugby Club are excited for what the new season might bring.

The famous Bobbies Youth Rugby Club is already at the end of their first league. After years of being closed down, the youth club was reborn earlier this year.

The determination of a group of parents is the outcome of this club reopening their doors. The club has been re-registered and is well underway.

Bobbies Youth now consists of 19 official players who represents the club on the field. In the last few months, the U6 team played 20 games of which they won 15, lost four and drew in one match.

The U7 team did equally as well. This team played 17 matches, where they won 10 and lost six. Players are driving as far as Eloff, Boksburg and Brakpan to be a part of the Bobbies family.

Bobbies are still practicing once a week on a Wednesday at 17:30 in order to keep skills development intact and be prepared for the upcoming Valkie rugby.
