Family and friends celebrate Geduld Epilepsy’s fun day

Community came together for Epilepsy Geduld's family fun day. The branch is now preparing to put smiles on residents with the Christmas Gift of Grace box initiative on November 30.

Epilepsy Geduld branch hosted its fun-filled family day on Saturday. Family and friends enjoyed a wholesome day filled with various games that kept everyone entertained.

A raffle competition was held, with Maritza Wolmarans winning a biltong hamper and Charl du Toit winning a biscuit hamper.

Epilepsy Geduld PRO Koena Mamabolo said the event was a success, and they were pleased with the support they received.

The branch is now looking forward to its final celebration of the year on November 30, aiming to bring joy to residents through the Christmas Gift of Grace box initiative.

Charl du Toit won a biscuit hamper.

Koena added that they appeal to the community to donate gift boxes for the residents. The gift box may be made using shoe boxes filled with personal items or treats for recipients.

Suggested personal items include toiletries, socks, T-shirts, stationery, adult colouring books, arts and craft supplies, puzzles or cards.

Treats can include sweets, chocolates, juice, cookies, dried fruits, biltong or gourmet popcorn.

Epilepsy Geduld welcomes any gift box drop-offs at the branch or monetary gifts that will go towards the cause. For more information, contact 011 811 1590.
