Springs Retirement Village and Springs Senior Citizen's Club came together for a year-end luncheon and entertainment on Friday.

The Springs Retirement Village hosted the Springs Senior Citizen’s Club for a delightful year-end luncheon featuring a three-course meal on Friday.

The seniors gathered to socialise, share stories, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

The meal was prepared by the Senior Citizen’s Club as a gesture of goodwill and sharing their scrumptious food with the residents of SRV.

Local artist Leon Van Zyl entertained the attendees, filling the space with music that had them dancing and celebrating the day.

Cheree van Heerden, SRV manager, said that the event also served as an opportunity to showcase the facility to other senior citizens, giving them a chance to view the cottages and amenities.

Club manager Pauline Houghton highlighted that the event aimed to build new friendships among the seniors, noting the loneliness that some may experience.

“It has been amazing to see the connections made and the joy shared among the seniors,” said Houghton.

Van Heerden added that the luncheon was a success, with everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves.
