Gingers celebrate top players at Pollak Park Golf Club

The Gingers Golf Day hosted its final competition of the season together with a prize-giving ceremony on Saturday.

The final Gingers Golf Day monthly competition, together with a prize-giving ceremony, took place on Sunday at the Pollak Park Golf Club (PPGC).

The event featured some of the Gingers’ best golfers, each competing for the top spot. The prize-giving ceremony recognised players who had excelled in different categories.

Winning first place was Dave Nagel with 38 points, followed by Connor Marran in second place with 37 points and Raymond Marran in third place with 36 points on countout.

The rest of the winners:
• Milk tart doubles – Dave Nagel and Adrian Lavelle with 46 points each.

• King of the shorts – Ivan Lubbe with 10 points.

• Longest drive – Charl Stoop.

• Closest to the pin for three on a par 5 – Stoop.

• Closest to the pin in two on a par 4 – Stoop.

• Closest to the pin for one on a par 3 – Lubbe.

Harvey Scott of the club congratulated the winners and thanked all the Gingers for their dedication and enthusiasm throughout the year.

With the season officially concluded, golfers are already looking forward to next year with the hope of welcoming more players.
