Cricketers bowl out year with win
The Springs Old Boys Cricket Club wrapped up the first half of the season on Saturday.
The (SOB) Cricket Club played its last match of the first half of the season on Saturday.
The SOB competed against the Champions Cricket Club and bowled first. Captain Riaan van der Merwe took three wickets in six overs for 20 runs.
Zack Fourie took two wickets for five overs, giving up 11 runs with one maiden.
The SOB bowled out the Champions CC for 84 runs.
The SOB’s opening batsmen, Neill Joubert and Ruan Geering, scored 34 and 42, respectively. Both were not out.
Together, the duo reached 85 runs in the eighth over, winning the match by 10 wickets.
