Community benefits from a joint effort donation

Hlasempho Community Development Centre, Springs SAPS and PEP Boksburg stores brings hope to school girls and Vita Nova residents with their generous donations.

Hlasempho Community Development Centre made a significant donation to Springs Girls High School (SGHS) and Vita Nova Centre on recently.

The donation was in a joint effort with the Springs SAPS and PEP Boksburg stores. The organisations donated sanitary towels to SGHS and Christmas clothes to Vita Nova’s residents.

Martha Ntshona, founder of Hlasempho said the ‘Keep a girl in school’ sanitary drive at SGHS aimed to ensure that girls can attend school with dignity and without the stress of missing out on their education.

“Our initiative aims to address the barriers that lack of sanitary towels can create, especially for girls from low-income families,” said Ntshona.

SGHS deputy principal Heather Jones said they received the donations from the organisations with gratitude.

“We believe it will make a huge difference to our learners,” said Jones.
