Johan Jurgens proud of its matric learners
The school extends its well wishes to the learners who went above and beyond for their academics.

Hoërskool Dr Johan Jurgens is proud of the Grade 12 Class of 2024 with their 100% pass rate. The school’s acting principal, Arista du Toit, says the pass rate could only be obtained through the hard work of their learners.
“They even attended classes on Saturdays and during the holidays. These learners were guided and supported by educators who were committed and always went the extra mile.”
She extends her thanks to the Department of Education for all their guidance and support.
“At our school, we achieve excellence because our focus is #nostudentstaysbehind.”
The top learners at the school achieved the following:
- Karabo Makena: seven distinctions (Afrikaans FAL, maths, accounting, business studies, life sciences, physical sciences, religious studies).
- Tshiamo Phutieagae: seven distinctions (maths, life orientation, CAT, economics, life sciences, physical sciences, religious studies).
- Given Netshivhazwaulu: five distinctions (maths, accounting, CAT, physical sciences, religious studies).
- Tanyaradzwa Chindowe: four distinctions (life orientation, accounting, business studies, economics).
